(Cincinnati, OH) - Happy to say this small, neighborhood restaurant with big flavors for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike, Melt Electric Deli, truly has something for everyone. The accolades on the walls probably say it all, but I'm going to also give this establishment my stamp of approval.
Even though Melt's menu is relatively simple, featuring sandwiches, wraps, daily soups, and fresh salads, there is still a variety of choices for you and your friends. Sandwiches feature different items from chicken to artichoke to seitan which means even Vegans can enjoy a delicious sandwich especially with the option of being able to order cashew spread instead of cheese.
I had the Vegan Chili and the Vegetarian Cheese Steak made with Housemade Seasoned Seitan, Roasted Onions and Peppers and Provolone baked on a Whole Wheat Hoagie. I enjoyed both and didn't miss the beef in either! As a Pescatarian, I'm always excited to find a new place for healthy, tasty and guilt-free meals! Although, even the meat served at Melt is free of hormones, preservatives, and antibiotics. As a bonus, they use 90% biodegradable or recyclable packaging.
