(Dayton, OH) – In my experience as an art gallery owner and a lifelong lover and patron of the Arts, I’ve found that many artists, no matter the field, are multi-talented and can create on a successfully in more than one field. Record setting, German born artist and world-renowned DJ, Sabrina Terence, is the perfect example of this characteristic. Sabrina expresses her abundance of creativity and positivity in her music more often throughout the Middle East and India and in her artwork throughout the entire world. You can find her DJ sets all over YouTube, but in the post, of course, I want to focus on her artwork.

Sabrina creates abstracts and portraits that always give viewers aesthetic beauty, as well as, a chance to find a deeper emotion. Her portraits in particular are expressive and sometimes personal. Her abstracts are colorful, full of movement and usually contain positive vibes that leave a lasting impression. “I create art because I love playing with colours and for me, painting is the ultimate meditation and creative expression. My paintings are about energy, color, and feelings. My work has a spiritual bent and is a result of continual exploration.” - Sabrina Terence

Sabrina’s popular series of moving lines and shadows that began with the Black Edition gets the viewers lost in her technique of brush work on wood panels. The movement of lines creates waves that collide and that make the painting’s composition seemingly come alive. “Painting, to me, is a unique experience. Each work is a surprise and has its own personal and intuitive meaning. After brainstorming feelings and memories, each painting evolves freely and independently” – Sabrina Terence

Added to her list of accomplishments and exhibitions, Sabrina Terence is a record setting artist that became the first to successfully send her artwork, “Serenity”, 65 km (over 200,000 feet) high into space in October of 2016.

“We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy.” – Sabrina Terence

Two of Sabrina’s artworks will be available at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery beginning April 3rd: The Original "Serenity” on which the painting sent into space was based and "Silverchrome No. 222" which is part of her Silver Edition series. As of the writing of this post, the world is dealing with a pandemic that will not allow gatherings, so the gallery and Sabrina will collaborate to bring viewers an online experience centered on her art sometime in the near future. Follow Sabrina Terence and the Edward A. Dixon Gallery on Instagram and Facebook to see and hear what’s to come.
