The Loving Hut - Vegan Veggie Goodness

(Cincinnati, OH) - I've been trying to change my lifestyle and diet to be more planet and animal friendly, so I'm always on the look-out for a good Vegetarian or Vegan restaurant.  There are a few but not lots of options in my current city of Dayton. However, Cincinnati is right down I-75 and has a much larger population than my hometown, so it stands to reason they would have more in the way of health conscious eateries.  Unfortunately, I'm also finding Vegan/Vegetarian places are having a tough time maintaining a foothold in this part of Ohio and often change owners or go out of business all-together.

I did a little research and found a promising place called the Loving Hut. If you're familiar with Cincinnati, you'll find the Loving Hut a few miles down the road from the Kenwood Towne Center at 6227 Montgomery Rd.  It's a fairly small spot with no frills except the pond with a waterfall and the whale sounds they played. I'm still on the fence on how a felt about the whale song, though.

I read through the menu before making my decision to go and their sandwiches, paninis and wraps peaked my interest.  Ultimately, all I'm looking for is to have meal that's just tasty and doesn't make me feel like I had a meal that was 'missing something.'  The three menu items I tried didn't disappoint.  I had the Grilled Spring Rolls with Carrots, Celery and Cabbage in a crispy wrapper served with their house Sweet & Sour sauce.  They were very good and was one of the many items they sold at their deli-style counter.  I also had the Pho which again was good and then the CK Panini (vegan CK, vegan cheese, vegan mayo, organic coleslaw, pickles, banana peppers and organic mustard) served with organic corn chips.  I enjoyed everything had, except, vegan or not, I'm just not a Mayo guy.

I'm definitely looking forward to a return trip and trying some more menu items and I recommend you go try them out whether you're already Vegan or not.
